Tara Andrea and Maboud are thankful for the support received to make this music project a reality that we refer to as the Sounds of Unity. We are grateful to the authors of the Physicians of the Heart and the Sufi Book of Life whose work and reflections of the Beautiful Names have inspired us. Our intention has been to honor our relationship with wazifahs, traditionally referred to as Beautiful Names of Allah. However, in our journey of life we have come to realize that these Names are really qualities of our potential wholeness and well being that live within our hearts as well as within the Cosmos. The wazifahs enliven us and have helped us to be more fully present to life. Music and melodies has given them textures of sound, movement and voice as they become a living presence of guidance, potential and remembrance of our wholeness.

We, the writers of this book (Physicians of the Heart) feel that none of the sublimity of these teachings truly penetrates without ecstatic chanting. The following are live recordings (no rehearsals) from our Santa Fe Dance Circle, our Hummingbird Wazifah Immersion Retreats, and one (Tara’s Bismillah) was recorded at the German Family Dance Camp where we have shared our wazifah inspired dances and songs with the German Youth and Young Adults.
We are so appreciative for all the musicians and dancers that have shared the voices and music of their hearts with us. We hope that by listening to these songs/prayers that you will be inspired to enter into the mysteries of our common humanity and divinity by cultivating your own unique relationship with these attributes of our Essential Soul Nature. May they become a useful bridge that brings greater understanding and wisdom of life.
